Fun slasher homage
Alpha Girls is a fun throwback flick that dishes out a good time on a Saturday night. I prefer to use "cheeky" rather than "campy" to describe the horror film's undertones. It has a fun mix of 'The Craft' Meets 'Mean Girls' that really works in the movie's favor. All of the actresses put 100% into their performances and bring individual life to their characters. Zito and Trov have designed a movie that nods to everything from 'The Amityville Horror' to 'Revenge of the Nerds' and it works. When used, the special make-up effects are successful and throw a nice amount of gore onto some pretty pictures.
Definitely fun with a group of people. Don't miss this one.
throwback to 80's horror
Remember the budget section of Sam Goody, where you could find outrageous, over-the-top slasher flicks designed from inception for home video? Yeah, this represents the best of that...plus Ron Jeremy for good measure.
A sexy thrilling THE CRAFT remake
Great work from Ron Jeremy, and could become a cult film. Nice storyline, excellent filming, good sorority house location, and a bevy of very talented sexy actresses. Really enjoyed the acting by these very cute girls and the schoolgirl outfits they wore were quite remarkable. The acting by the head sorority mistress was top notch and the stunts that she put the new plebes through was so unpleasant. The only thing that i think was missing would have been some more sexiness by the actresses, and maybe some extracurricular activities with boyfriends. A lot of blood and some very gruesome scenes were in this film that i may have taken away from the film. Am sure that alot more boys would like this film than girls, but it would be alright for both couples. Wonder if maybe there will be a part 2 with the save storyline?
